A couple of weeks ago, I was walking up and down the aisles of a local grocery store with my mom. We walked down one aisle and at the end of it there were shelves and shelves of Halloween candy. I turn to my mom and say, “Seriously! Halloween candy already? It’s not even September yet.! Sooner or later, we’re going to have Christmas in July!”
Holiday prep keeps coming sooner and sooner and it is becoming my least favorite trend. I’m the kind of person who likes to enjoy the moment while I’m in it. In this case, I am still trying to enjoy the rest of the summer. Having to see or be exposed to holiday goods way before they should be on the shelves is not fun and makes me upset.
What do you think about this trend? Should stores wait to stock their shelves until the actual month of the holiday, or little bit before, so we don’t feel bombarded? Let me know in the comments below.
