I have heard such great things about Origins Skincare products and had been wanting to try it for soo long. So, when I saw this ‘Best of’ kit (unfortunately, no longer available) on Sephora’s website, I had to get it. The kit comes with several bits and bobs from their different lines and so far I am loving just about everything.
The kit contains six of their, you guessed it, best products. These products are:
GinZing Energy Boosting Moisturizer-I am loving this stuff. I use it in the morning and it just wakes my skin up. It’s gentle and light, which is great because that means it absorbs faster into the skin; at least for me. I don’t really like to have heavy products on my face, especially during the day, because it just feels like they are clogging my pores. This moisturizer is perfect because of that lightness. It also works well with any makeup I decide to wear that day.
High-Potency Night-A-Mins Mineral Enriched Renewal Cream-I have been using this product as a moisturizer at night and it has been great for my skin. It’s creamy and luxurious feeling on my skin. It’s a very thick consistency, so you only need the tiniest amount. It feels very moisturizing and the next morning I feel like my skin is new again.
Checks and Balances Frothy Face Wash-I have been using this product as my night time face wash. I love this product because, like the title suggests, it foams up and this makes me feel like the product is really working its magic. Again, you only need the tiniest amount. I just squeeze a little bit into the palm, or my cleansing brush, of my hand and run it under warm water really quickly, just to get the process working. It is also very gentle, which is great for my sensitive skin.
GinZing Refreshing Eye Cream-This has to be the best eye cream I have ever used, which is saying something because I haven’t tried that many. In the mornings, especially the last couple of them, I have woken up with pretty puffy eyes. This stuff really does the trick. I just apply it and a few minutes later, my eyes and under eye area feel refreshed. I also really like the brightening effect it has. It’s like a pre-highlighter before your makeup 🙂 The best part of this effect is that you can actually see those results. The cream goes on and immediately your under eye area is brighter.
By All Greens Foaming Deep Cleansing Mask-I used this product a few times and wasn’t really impressed. The first time I didn’t use enough product to see the foaming. The second time I did, but I didn’t see any results. Maybe it’s just that I haven’t used it enough to see results or maybe it’s just a product that won’t work for me. None the less, I don’t think I will be purchasing a full-size. I also don’t like the fact that you have to use soo much of the product to get it to foam up.
Clear Improvement Active Charcoal Mask-I have tried a LOT of charcoal products and none of them have done the job I want them to do. This one can be added to that long list. I used this product on my nose, where I have the most trouble with pores, and it just didn’t do anything for me. I noticed that it just kind of went around the pores instead of deep into the pores. It was like the product was being repelled away. I also noticed that you need to use a thicker layer of the product if you want anything to happen. Now, it may have not worked for me due to user error. I am willing to try it out again, but I probably won’t be purchasing the full-size of this product either.
Overall, as you can see, I have been enjoying using the Origins brand and there will be some products I will purchase full-sizes of.
Let me know if you’ve tried any Origins Skincare products. I would love to hear what you think/thought of them and maybe I will give them a try too 🙂
P.S. If you haven’t tried out Origins before, or any skincare line for that matter, and they have a kit with several of their products in it, I highly recommend purchasing it. It’s cheaper and that way you can eliminate what you don’t like.
