July Beauty Loves

23.07.17 | jesslynnwrites | No Comments

It’s been awhile since I wrote one of these posts. In fact, I wasn’t going to actually bring this kind of post back because it became kind of a pain and tedious to write. But in the end, I decided that it would be easier if I split them up into two categories; Beauty & Skincare.
So, without further ado, here is what I have been loving in the month of July beauty wise.

IMG_2514[1]CoverGirl cgsmoothers BB Cream-This is an all-time, old favorite of mine. I like to wear this when I don’t want to wear a lot of makeup, yet want to wear something. I like that it evens out my skin tone and that it doesn’t feel heavy on my skin.

IMG_2513[1]L’Oreal Lash Paradise Mascara-You all know I absolutely love this mascara because I did a whole review on it not that long ago. So, that being said I won’t go too long talking about it. If you want to read what I think about this mascara, I will link that review here. What more can I say about this mascara? I’ve been using it loads lately.

IMG_2512[1]Benefit Hoola Matte Bronzer-I had been eyeing this product for a very, very long time and now that I have it I can’t stop using it. I have been wearing the original Hoola mainly because it looks better when I have my fake tan on. But, I think it would look good even if I didn’t have my fake tan on. It gives me enough color without looking too fake, which is hard because I’m soo pale. Also, I’m not the best at applying bronzer. This product makes it easy because it’s soo blendable.

IMG_2511[1] Trestique Highlight+Perfect Multipurpose Stick-I received this product in a Sephora PLAY! a couple months ago and reviewed it in that post. Ever since receiving, I have been using it non-stop when I actually take the time to do my makeup. I get lazy in the summer and just don’t like wearing a lot of heavy makeup. Which leads me to saying that this is the perfect product for that purpose. It doesn’t feel heavy on the skin, even as a cream product, and it gives a nice, subtle highlight which is always a plus. I’m not a fan of the overly glittery highlighters, so this one is perfect for me.

IMG_2510[1]EcoTools Brushes-These brushes are some of the softest makeup brushes I have ever used! I love them soo much. Right now, I only have the duo eye brushes and the large powder brush (which is my favorite and is multipurpose) but my plan is to get a ton more. They apply my makeup so seamlessly and flawlessly. I think it’s going to be hard to find a brush brand to top this one. However, I still love my Real Techniques ones too.

IMG_2423[1]NARS Soft Matte Complete Concealer-A very long time ago, I raved about this brand’s Radiant Creamy Concealer, which I also suggest checking out, in a favorites post. I’m here today raving just as much, if not more, about this concealer. Even though it has matte in the name, it doesn’t feel like that typical matte feeling. It’s soo creamy and blendable. I also can’t feel it on my skin. It’s the perfect concealer in my opinion. If you don’t believe me, go get you some and try it out. Also, you can read a more in depth review of it here.

IMG_2512[1]-GaliforniaBenefit GALifornia Blush-Okay, when I first saw this blush I almost plotzed. I thought it was soo gorgeous and perfect for the summer months. Now that I have it in my possession and have seen it in person, it’s even more beautiful then I could have imagined it to be. It gives my cheeks the life it needs, no matter if I have fake tan on or not. Although, I can’t really claim that because I have only worn it with my fake tan on. Which tells me I really need to try it on my natural skin tone.

IMG_2509[1]Nail Polish-I usually can’t be bothered to paint my nails. In fact, I’m a nail biter. Lately, I have been craving painting my nails. Probably because I have been taking better care of them and they are actually growing for once. I don’t actually have one particular brand or shade I have been loving, I just have been loving the process and picking out a new color to wear every week or so.

IMG_2508[1]Essence make me brow Eyebrow Gel Mascara in 02 browny brows-I didn’t think I would like this budget brow gel, but it has surprised me. Before I bought this brow gel, I had been milking every last bit of my Benefit Gimme Brow I had bought probably a year and half ago. I know, I know, I should have probably thrown it out ages ago. Anyway, this has become my new favorite. Plus, I like a good budget and drugstore item. My favorite part about this brow gel, besides its price, is that it works just as well and gives me the same effect that my Gimme Brow did. It’s as simple as that.

IMG_2507[1]NYX Micro Brow Pencil in MBP04 Chocolate-I had been hearing such great things about this brow product for ages that I finally decided to bite the bullet and try it out for myself. Boy I’m glad I did! I like that this brow pencil has a fine nib because I can make lighter, brush-like strokes and won’t go overboard. The one thing I don’t like is the shade I bought. But that is my fault. It turns out that it’s still too light for my brow color, even though I bought the darkest one.

IMG_2506[1] Marc Jacobs Highliner Gel Eye Crayon in Ro(Cocoa)-I have never owned, or never thought I would own, anything from Marc Jacobs. When I saw that Sephora was selling one of their coveted Sephora Favorites sample bags for summer, that happened to include this particular item, I knew I had to have it. Now, I didn’t just buy it for this one item but it helped. Since I started using this eyeliner, I haven’t been able to wear anything else. It has been the perfect all-over color, even though it may not be the best for daytime looks. I just apply it to my lash line and blend and sheer it out to make it work. I love a good one and done easy look and this product does the trick.
Palmer’s Olive Oil Deep Condition Packets (Not Pictured)-I have used this brand’s deep condition packets before, but I have to say that this is my favorite. I have pretty frizzy and dry hair and this deep condition worked wonders on my hair. Now, it didn’t keep it’s promise so much with the frizziness but I can let that slide. In fact, I found a solution for that but you’ll have to wait and read about that in Wednesday’s post.

IMG_2505[1]Clinique Almost Lipstick in Black Honey–This was another product I received in a Sephora PLAY! box. I have to admit, though, I was a little intimidated by the color of it when I first opened the bullet. It is a deep, dark, burgundy color so I immediately thought it was going to be just as opaque as it looked. Well, I was proved wrong. It gives a nice wash of color as more of a gloss or balm then a typical lipstick. I have to say that Clinique makes great products and this is one of them.

IMG_2504[1]REN Flash Defence Anti-Pollution Mist-This has been in my beauty stash for a long time now, but I haven’t really used it all that much. Until this summer. It’s been really, really hot and humid where I live pretty much off and on all summer. I wanted to set my makeup, but wasn’t loving my Urban Decay setting spray because it was feeling too heavy. Then I got the idea to use this spray because it has a finer mist and doesn’t sit on the skin as long to dry. In fact, it dries down really quick. I like that I can apply a little bit right after applying makeup and then refresh my makeup during the day with another little spritz. I also like that it’s multipurpose. You can use it set your makeup, refresh your skin, or before you apply your makeup. I love a good multipurpose product! It’s also cooling, which is great for this weather. I will say I’m not a huge fan of the scent, but since that’s the only thing I don’t like about the product I let it slide.

IMG_2503[1]Loving Tan Mousses-You already know how much I love this tanning brand and their mousses already. Again, I have already done two posts on this brand. One on their 2-hr. Mousse and the most recent, Deluxe Bronzing Mousse. I won’t go on about these either.

IMG_2502[1]Invisibobble-When I first wanted a product like the Invisibobble, I actually was hoping I would find a cheaper alternative. In fact, I heard that H&M sold them. Unfortunately, I had no luck so I had to bite the bullet and spend the $7 or so to get what I wanted. These have been my best friends for months now, but I wore them a lot throughout this month. Mainly because it’s been soo stinking hot and humid that I just didn’t want to have my hair down. The one and only thing I love about these handy dandy hair ties is that they don’t leave that annoying and awful kink in my hair. That being said, if you know of any cheaper alternatives for me to try please, please let me know because I want to replace all my hair ties with them.

That is what I have been loving during the month of July. Let me know down in the comments below what beauty products you have been loving during the month of July. You never know, I might try some of them out and they might show up in a future beauty loves post.

Thanks for reading!
