I have tried many a dry shampoo and have been disappointed by one aspect of all of them. It leaves that white residue. This Not Your Mother’s Dry Shampoo is no exception. It’s the only thing I’m not a fan of. Other than that it’s a pretty good product.
I don’t get really get greasy, oily hair, so I usually wear dry shampoos to freshen up my hair in between washes. The scent of this shampoo reminds me of peach jello. I know, pretty weird but it’s the truth. It has this sickly, sweet scent to it that over the time I’ve used it I’ve gotten over it barely. So, if you like scents like this then I would say go try this out.
This shampoo is also supposed to build body and volume to your hair. I found that it didn’t for mine. I have really fine, wavy hair that sticks flat to my head so I like a little oomph to my roots. Unfortunately, to get this look I have to add another product to my hair. It would be great if I could get an all-in-one product to do this.
I do like that this dry shampoo is so inexpensive and you get so much of it for the price. The bottle I bought is 7 oz., or 198 g.) and it cost me $5.99. The bottle is pretty bulky, but is slim and won’t take up too much room on your bathroom counter. I will say because it’s so bulky and tall that it’s probably not ideal to travel with.
Overall, I do like this brand and will try other products from it but I will not be repurchasing this particular one.
Let me know in the comments below if you’ve tried this product or others from the brand. I would love to hear from you.
Thanks for reading!
