I know that lots of bloggers do an end of the year loves/favorites list, but honestly I couldn’t be bothered. Maybe next year. So instead of a round up, I’m just going to share with you what I loved during December.
Artistry Ideal Radiance Illuminating CC Cream in Light: I love using this for everyday makeup looks. Now, I don’t wear makeup everyday because most days I can’t be bothered. I know, I’m a beauty blogger and I don’t wear or use makeup everyday? It’s just how I always have been. Anywho, this product is a great alternative to foundation because it’s lightweight and no-fuss. I just slap it on, not literally, and I’m done. It’s good for evening the skin out too. I have a lot of redness and don’t want to cake on tons of concealer and such to cover it up. This does the trick. The best part of this product is that it looks natural. It lets enough of my skin show through while also giving my enough coverage.
Pixi Glow Mist: This stuff is good, but I don’t know if I’ll buy it again. I know that it sounds like I don’t actually like this product, but it has been a favorite of mine. I have been spraying it on my face even when I’m not wearing makeup. In the winter, my skin tends to look a little dull. I have found lately that I have been buying, and using, all the brightening products I can get my hands on to combat this issue. The only thing I don’t like about this product is the packaging. Now, I don’t if it’s just the one I bought or if all of them are like this but the spray nozzle thing disperses too much product. I feel like I’m being slapped in the face when I spray it.
NARS Soft Matte Complete Concealer in Vanilla: I love NARS products and this concealer is just another one on the list of some of their greatest products I’ve used. When I see matte, I think that it’s going to be drying to my already dry, winter skin. This is not the case at all. It’s goes on so smoothly and feels so lightweight that I forget about the fact that it’s matte. It doesn’t go cakey or patchy under my eyes, where I apply it the most, and it looks really natural.
Maybelline Color Tattoo in Bad to the Bronze: I have raved about this product before, so I won’t bore you with how much I love this product. All I will say is that it’s a great product if you want just a wash of color on your lids. I just use my finger to apply it and I’m done and out the door.
bhcosmeticsxCarli Bybel highlighter (similar): This highlighter, the lightest one, is from the first palette she brought out with the brand. If I were to pick one favorite powder highlighter, I would choose this one hands down. Now, I know that there are many, many powder highlighters out there to choose from but if you want an affordable one this is the one. I have been using this non-stop all month. Well, when I’m wearing a full-face of makeup that is. It goes on smoothly and you don’t need a lot because it’s intense. It’s just great.
e.l.f. 202 Beautifully Precise Pencil Brush: I have raved about this brush as well. In fact, I have raved about this brand just as much probably. As the name suggests, it gives me such a precise line when applying shadow on my lower lash line. It’s soo soft, so I don’t feel like I’m poking my eye out. Just go get you one and you’ll see.
Benefit Hoola Lite & Dandelion Blush in Cheek Parade Palette: Do I even have to say anything more about these two products? I mean I have been raving about them in other posts.
ecotools Double-ended Eye Brush, Blending: ecotools brushes are some of the greatest, most soft (I don’t think this is good English, but oh well, lolz) brushes I have ever used. The best part is that they are drugstore. I just like how this one blends out whatever crease color I’m using that day.
ColourPop Crème Gel Liner in Honeydude: This is a great waterline liner. It’s this flesh color so it naturally brightens up my waterline. I used to use a white eyeliner pencil to do the same thing. I found that it was too harsh. This one is not, as I said above. Plus, it’s inexpensive. What more could you want?
Redken Color Magnetics Shampoo & Conditioner: I did talk about these in my hair care post, so I won’t go into grave detail here. However, I will say that since dying my hair in October and changing my color in the beginning of this month, these two products have been life savers. Well, maybe that’s a little too far but they have helped keep my color going strong.
Moroccanoil Moroccanoil Treatment: I also talked about this handy little guy in my hair care post. I just wanted to update and say that I tried this in my wet hair and then blow dried it. OMG! It made my hair soo soft and less frizzy. It was awesome!
That’s what I loved, beauty wise, during December. Look out for my post on Sunday where I go through all my other miscellaneous loves of the month. Let me know what you loved during this month or even throughout the year down in the comments.
Thanks for reading!
