Daisy Cakes Bakes~Blogging for Books

Unfortunately, this is my last Blogging for Books post. I was informed that they are shutting down for good. So, I’m going to make this one count.

This cookbook, Daisy Cakes Bakes, is probably the most beautiful cookbook I own and I don’t own that many. The pictures are so pretty that they make me want to try every single recipe in the book. Of course, that’s not going to happen but I will most likely be trying the majority of them.

I think the best part of this cookbook, besides the pictures and recipes, are the tips the author provides. She gives the baker not only tips on how to make more of the recipe, but also tips on how to make for different size pans. It’s great!

Just looking through this cookbook, I’m finding not only all the recipes I would love to eat and bake but also all the recipes that my grandma probably (most likely) grew up eating and making. She is from the south and I know there’s at least one recipe I would love to make for her.

She not only included actual desserts, but provided recipes for things like frosting and your very own pan grease. This just seems so southern to me! I also think having this recipe is great because now I don’t have to use Pam spray or Crisco if I don’t want to, lolz!

All in all, I can’t wait to get cracking on baking some of these recipes. I have my eye on the lemon bar recipe 🙂

What is your favorite cookbook? What is your favorite dessert to bake? Let me know in the comments down below. I love hearing from you all!

Thanks for reading!

Jess xx
