Hello Lovelies!
I can’t believe it’s the end of the month already! Although, I thought this month went by super slow.
That being said, it’s time for monthly favorites.
Lancome Juicy Shaker in Mangoes Wild: This has been my go to lip product pretty much all month. Thanks to Allana Davison, I immediately went to the Sephora website and ordered it. Boy! I’m glad I did. It’s the perfect bright pink color for summer, but it doesn’t show up as bright on the lips as it does in the tube. I’m okay with that because I don’t always look that great in brighter colors.
Tarte Tartelette in Bloom Palette: You all already know that this has been my palette of choice this month. Well, you know this if you went and read my first impression post. The update is that I’m still using it. It’s the perfect everyday palette.
H&M Bronzer: I mainly bought this bronzer because I had a blog post in mind. It turns out that I decided not to do that post, obviously. Anywho, this is the only bronzer I’ve worn all month. It gives a great bronzy & shimmery look for everyday, but you have to be careful. It can be really easy to use too much. It’s super pigmented. It’s also easy to make it look muddy. Nobody wants that.
Warby Parker Hallie Glasses & Piper Sunglasses: I have been wearing glasses since I was a freshman in college. So, naturally these pairs of glasses have been my favorite all of June because I have to wear them to see. I love how chunky the Hallie’s are and I love how minimal cat-eye the Piper’s are.
A New Day Onyx Bead Bracelet: I am not typically a bracelet kinda gal. I find that they get in the way. This one is different. It’s so minimal with the beading that it feels like a second skin on me. Plus, it’s gorgeous and affordable.
Stacy’s Pita Chips: This has been the only thing I’ve been snacking on all month. They are super addicting and super delicious.
Tiesta Tea: This was a new find for me toward the end of the month. I wanted something else to drink other than water. I saw these in the store and I was immediately hooked. I typically like a sweetened tea, but these are great. They are sweetened by natural flavors and they quench my thirst.
Smallville: Okay, I know this wasn’t the fans’ favorite Superman story but I have become a big fan. I have been binge watching this show like crazy. I like a good origin story. The only thing I hate about this show is the relationship between Clark and Lana. I absolutely HATE what I call ‘yo-yo couples’. They are the epitome of one.
The Bold Type: My favorite show from last summer is back and better than ever. All my favorite ladies are back doing their thing, being boss ladies af (I can’t believe I said that, lolz). I just love all the woman power and encouragement that is in this show.
Set It Up: The rom-com is back baby! Netflix and everyone involved with this movie has done such a great job. They did it in the right way. If you love rom-coms like When Harry Met Sally, You’ve Got Mail (btw, not a fan of this movie), or How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days then you will love this movie.
I’m Upset-Drake (Song & Music Video): When I heard that Drake (Aubrey) was bringing back all of his Degrassi castmates together for this music video, I jumped for joy. I am most likely the biggest, hugest fan of Degrassi south of the Canadian border. I have watched all the OG (the ones with the guys in this video) episodes of the show, multiple times. The video was so cool. The song is great. I love everything about this.
Crush of the Month 1 & 2: I thought I would start a new little segment in my monthly favorites. Because this is the first one ever, I thought I would choose two to start it off. The first crush of the month is Elliot Knight. This man is such a great actor. He was one of the stars of Life Sentence and boy was he great in this show. He also is super hilarious. I have been watching his instastories off and on all month and I probably have laughed every single time. He’s a big goof ball. He also has such a great heart. Ever since the show ended, he has been traveling around doing all kinds of charity work. It’s been so fun and great to watch. Plus, he’s English. Enough said. The second crush of the month is Glen Powell. He is one of the stars of Set it Up. This is actually the first thing I had seen him in. Well, that’s not entirely true. It’s just the first thing I have seen him in that I will remember seeing him in. I don’t know what it is about this man, but he is just so darn cute. He is also super hilarious. What can I say? I love a man that can make me laugh.
What did you like this month? Do you want me to keep including the crush of the month section? Let me know.
