This show is great! Right off the bat, there are all kinds of trouble and you get to see Supergirl in action. You also get to hear a little backstory of how both Superman and Supergirl came to Earth. I like that they included it because lots of people, including myself, don’t know about the Superman/Supergirl universe.

Let me just tell you, they definitely got the casting right in this one. Melissa Benoist, you might know her from Glee, is the perfect actress for this part. I have always seen her as a strong, independent woman. It definitely shows in her performance on the show. Kara just wants to do good and change the world. We really need more role models, real or not, like her. I think it’s great that comics, like DC and Marvel, are bringing this idea to the forefront and making their strong, female characters more accessible (TV, big screen) to viewers. It’s very important, especially now. Okay, I will get off my soapbox now…haha!

If you like action and a strong female character, then this is the show for you.

Let me know what you think.

P.S. I never understood why glasses were somehow an adequate disguise.
