My First Tarot Card Reading

03.01.18 | jesslynnwrites | No Comments

YAUJ3733[1]I thought I would start out the new year on the blog with something I had done to prepare for 2018. As the title suggests, I had my very first tarot reading. Now, I don’t really want to go into grave detail about what each card meant for me. That would take forever and each card, depending on the deck and other sources, could have other meanings.

I do want to talk about my experience and what I got out of my reading. Luckily, I had my best friend introduce me to the world of tarot. I can tell you that having her do, instead of someone I don’t know, put my mind at ease. Before I go any further with my experience, I want to say that I never truly was interested in or believed in tarot card readings. I always thought they were a bunch of hooey. Turns out I do believe in them.

Okay, back to my experience. I learned a lot, not just about the card itself, but also about tarot. Each card can mean something different and be interpreted differently. I find this interesting. I also found it interesting and crazy how accurate, or not accurate, each card could be. All in all, it was just a really cool experience to see how my year could pan out.

And now that I have had a reading, I want a deck of my own. I want to do my own readings. Most decks come with a book, or at least this one did, and it has all kinds of ways to do a reading. I think it would be fun to do one every once in awhile or everyday just to see how my day is going to go, or even week. I still don’t know a lot about tarot, but I would love to learn.

Have you ever had a tarot reading? Do you believe in this kind of stuff (horoscopes, tarot readings, mystical things)? Let me know in the comments below. I love hearing from you.

Thanks for reading!

Jess xx
