Hi everyone!
How’s it going?
I can’t believe it’s the end of April already. This month flew by despite the crap weather in Minnesota.
End of the month means monthly favorites, so here is what I have been loving throughout the month of April.
Marc Jacobs Daisy-When spring hit, I knew that I wanted to start wearing more floral scented perfumes and bright colors. Well, most of this month consisted of constant snow and cold, cold weather. I still persisted and pretended that it was spring and wore this perfume everyday. I received this tiny sample with an Ulta purchase (I think) and now I want the full-size. I don’t remember if this is the original Daisy perfume, so I am going to link that one. Despite not knowing if it’s the original, I still love it. It’s such a nice, light, floral scent which I have found perfect for everyday wear and has really gotten me in the mood for spring.
Dove Exfoliating Scrub-Y’all saw this in last week’s post. This is my new favorite exfoliating scrub. I have tried out many, but this seems to be the contender at the moment for me. It’s creamy and not too rough on my skin. I’m one for gentle exfoliators and this one is definitely gentle, yet effective. It gets the job done, especially since I have started wearing self-tanner again.
St. Ives Body Wash-This too made an appearance in last week’s post. This body wash got me through the long, long winter with its scent. It smells like tropical fruitiness, which I’m totally down for anytime of the year. It also exfoliates, but that’s not my favorite part of it.
imPress Press-On Nails-If you have been following me over on Instagram lately, you have seen me rocking these nails for weeks (basically all of April). Speaking of Instagram, you should really go check mine out and give me a follow over there (jesslynn208). Any who, enough plugging. I have talked about these babies tons and tons before. These are my favorite because I tend to get pretty lazy when it comes to nail care. When that happens, I go and buy these because they are a no-fuss, easy option for getting pretty manicures. Plus, they’re cheaper than going to the salon all the time.

Burt’s Bees Tinted Balm-Again, this balm showed up in last week’s post. When I bought this, I was looking for something to take care of my super dry lips but also gave me some color. This was the one. I have been a fan of Burt’s Bees as a brand for years, so why wouldn’t I pick up a balm from them? Right? Right. Now, I will say that it doesn’t last the longest time on my lips (that’s usually because I’m drinking my coffee or water) but it does last a long enough time for my lips to get the relief that they need.
New Generation Tamagotchi Series 3: I am a 90s kid through and through. So, when I heard that Tamagotchi was coming back I was all over that. Now, I didn’t get one until I was reminded in a YouTube video that these cute, little tech creatures made a comeback. Now, I am obsessed with this thing just as I was back in the day. This thing hasn’t left me side since I got it, that’s how obsessed I am with it.
Phone Case-My previous phone case was starting to get very grimy and grungy (not in a good way), so I was in the market for a new one. The one I wanted, and promptly purchased, turned out to be one that didn’t fit my phone. So, I went on Amazon and found the perfect one (at least in my eyes). It’s silicone, so if I drop my phone there won’t be too much damage and it’s also easy to put on and take off. Plus, it has such a gorgeous tropical floral theme.
Life Sentence-I am obsessed with this new show on The CW. It’s about a girl, Stella, who had been diagnosed with terminal Cancer and finds out that she is suddenly cured. Following this announcement, her whole family has fallen apart because their lives were dedicated to her for so long. There’s family and comedy and relationships. All the works. Plus, one of my favorite actresses is in it (Lucy Hale; love her!). If you like shows like Jane the Virgin, then you will like this show.
Lucy Hale-Like I said above, Lucy Hale is one of my favorite actresses. Especially at the minute. Now, don’t get mad at me. I don’t like her because of Pretty Little Liars. I like her not only for Life Sentence, but for A Cinderella Story (I think it’s the third one), Dude (the newest movie she’s been in on Netflix), and just her overall coolness. I follow her on Instagram and love everything she posts. Plus, I love her so much I kind of modeled my most recent hair cut after hers.
Dude-I’m not going to lie, I only watched this movie on Netflix because Lucy Hale is in it. But it turns out that I really liked it despite her being in it. I will say that it wasn’t my favorite movie of all time. Let me back up a bit and tell you what it’s all about. It’s about four best friends who are seniors in high school and are about to graduate. They are all dealing with that fact and the fact that they all are going their separate ways. Conflict ensues, but eventually they overcome it. This is kind of why it’s not my favorite movie of all time.
The X-Files-I have been watching the crap out of this show. I love spooky, weird stuff to watch. The X-Files is just that. If you don’t know what this show is about, let me tell you. It is about these two FBI detectives, Skully and Mulder, who are assigned to weird, out-there cases. It was a huge, cult show in the 90s (another reason why I love this show) and was recently brought back for two more seasons (2015-2016 & 2018).
J&Co. Necklaces-I discovered this jewelry brand when I was scrolling through Instagram one day. I decided to click on the link and the rest is history. The jewelry on this site is not only gorgeous, but affordable. I bought some earrings and these two necklaces and haven’t stopped wearing them since. I will say though that you have to be willing to wait awhile for your order to come. It took about two weeks for mine to arrive because it came from Singapore. I wouldn’t let this deter you though because it’s worth it. The quality is great and like I said this jewelry is affordable.
Dylan Hartigan-I have been a fan of The Voice for a very long time now and this beautiful man was the newest contestant I was obsessed with. I still am obsessed with him. His voice is like butter and he has so much fun on stage. Who doesn’t want that in a favorite musician?
That’s it!
What did you love this month? Are you going to check out any of the things I mentioned? Let me know down in the comments. I love hearing from you. Also, don’t forget to check out my Instagram (jesslynn208). Is that too much plugging? Soz!
Thanks for reading!
