Hello Lovelies!
Today, I’m bringing you a book review on Carry On by Rainbow Rowell.
This is the companion novel to Fangirl, which I also did a review on.
Carry On is the fan fiction story that the main character in Fangirl was writing in that novel.
Did I love this book? That’s a hard no. Did I like this book? Kind of.
It took me soo long to get through. I had to read it in chunks because I just couldn’t get in the mood to read the book longer than a few chunks at a time. Has that happened to you? I’m sure it has.
I will say it was kind of nice to read the actual story the main character went on and on about in Fangirl. I got to see her take on a story that was so beloved by her.
Other than that, I was not a fan. No offense to the writer, I honestly felt like I was reading another Harry Potter-esque book. Let’s just say that I haven’t had the best of luck with Rainbow Rowell books. The only one I truly liked is Fangirl.
If you like reading fanfic or are a fan of Rainbow Rowell, then this is the book for you.
Have you read this book? Have you read any other Rainbow Rowell books? I would love to hear from you in the comments.
Thanks for reading!
Jess xx
