Synopsis:
Hotshot lawyer bro, Evan Westin, is left at the altar. Instead of sulking, he takes the honeymoon he was supposed to take with his new bride. Curmudgeonly teacher, Heath Lennox, was invited by the man he is hopelessly in love with to an exclusive resort, but when that man stands him up, his friends encourage him to still go. These two meet while on the plane, and it’s safe to say that they don’t get off on the right foot. It gets even better when they finally make it to the resort and find that there has been a mix-up with their reservations, and they are forced to act like newlyweds because the resort has a no-singles policy. But soon these two adversaries see the real people behind the facades, and a friendship develops. And soon after that, let’s just say they became more than friends 😏

Review:
I will admit, it did take me a bit to get into the story, but once I was in a flow state, I really did enjoy this book. I loved the dynamic between Heath and Evan. You have, on one hand, a curmudgeonly teacher, and on the other, you have a misunderstood lawyer bro. Honestly, you couldn’t get more opposite personalities. The way that Evan pushed Heath’s buttons any chance he got had me giggling uncontrollably. It was hilarious because I know people like him. Sometimes I am him 😂 But Heath isn’t a shrinking violet. He dished it right back. I’m telling you…the banter was chef’s kiss. Now, I wasn’t expecting a twisty end in a romance novel, but there was a good one. I won’t say any more than that, but it reminded me of scenes I’ve seen in some of my favorite romcoms.
