Sisters

27.01.16 | jesslynnwrites | No Comments

Over the holidays, I went to go see Sisters with some friends. This movie is a perfect girls night film. It stars the hilarious duo Amy Poehler (Maura Ellis) and Tina Fey (Kate Ellis), who I LOVE! They are the perfect acting combo. Now, in this movie they reverse roles. Tina is the ‘bad girl’/”messed up” one and Amy is the put together/straight-laced character. I heard reviewers say this movie wasn’t funny or good because of this role reversal, but I couldn’t disagree more. It was interesting to see how each played their characters. It was hilarious watching Tina’s character wig out over the dumbest/smallest things.

This movie also saw some familiar actors/actresses from not only past SNL years, but current ones as well. It was like watching an Adam Sandler movie where you see the same people in each movie. It was great. I really enjoyed watching Maya Rudolph (Brinda) play the stuck up, ‘thinks she is better than everybody else’ character. It was hilarious!

I had so many favorite parts of the movie, but the one I enjoyed the most was the dance scene. All I’ll say about it is that it was awesome. You will just have to go see the movie :p

If you enjoy Amy and Tina’s kind of humor and comedy, then you will definitely enjoy this movie. I know I will be watching it over and over again when it comes out on DVD. I thought it was that great.

Let me know what you think.
