July Favorites

It’s been awhile since I did one of these posts. So, let’s get to it! Here is what I have been loving throughout the month of July:

Tanya Burr Brow Palette: I am always looking for new brow products to try out. I had been wanting to try the Tanya Burr Brow Palette for awhile now and I finally took the plunge and ordered it. I have to tell you that it has to be my favorite product I’ve used so far. It’s really pigmented and it includes the closest shade to my natural brow color. Usually when I buy brow products, I can never find the right shade. Either they’re too light or too dark. Never a perfect middle ground. I also love that it’s compact so I can just throw it in my makeup bag and go.

Lancome Juicy Shaker in Melimelon: These things are the bomb! They are so moisturizing and so subtle. I love the subtly of the color because sometimes I just want an ‘almost not there look’. I don’t know if that makes sense 🙂 I had heard such great things about this product that I had to buy two, one for my mom and one for myself. Oh, and my favorite part of this product is the scent. It smells kind of like watermelon. I don’t know if that’s what it’s supposed to smell like, but I’m not complaining. These are also available at Sephora and Lancome.

NYX Butter Lip Glosses in Strawberry Cheesecake & Eclair: I had been hearing good things about these glosses from all the beauty Youtubers, so I decided to try some out. I only bought two of them, but I lurve them! They are so moisturizing and pigmented. I also like that they are inexpensive 🙂 I definitely will be picking up some more. You can also find these anywhere the NYX brand is sold.

St. Tropez In-Shower Tan Lotion in Medium: This stuff is okay. I would put this in the disappointing category, but I wasn’t totally disappointed with this product. I had tried out the shade light and was not happy with it. This shade works better and actually develops into a tan on my skin. The only thing I don’t like about it is that it doesn’t last as long as some of the other tanning products I’ve used.

CoverGirl Supersizer Fibers Mascara: This is my new favorite mascara! I LURVE it! I am already a fan of CoverGirl mascaras, and products, but this has got to be their best one yet. It’s so easy to use and actually keeps the curl in my lashes. I have really stick straight, short lashes, so this is a plus for me. I like that it opens up my eyes more and that it looks good when I’m wearing my glasses.

NYX Eye Pencil In Milk: I have been searching for a good waterline liner for ages and I finally found ‘the one’. This stuff really stays on, which is good because I tend to have pretty watery eyes. I also like how pigmented it is. It does a great job at brightening up the eye area.

Ralph Lauren Perfume Rollerball: This is an old, new favorite. I have loved this perfume for ages and finally decided to purchase it for myself. I got it in the rollerball form because I wanted to make sure that it was still a perfume I loved. Turns out, I still like it. I also like the rollerball because it’s travel friendly. I just keep it in my makeup bag and whenever I feel like I want to put some on, I just pull it out and apply.

Scrunchies: I actually kind of love that these have come back into style. When I was younger, I had tons and tons of scrunchies. I decided to pick some up because I was tired of using the elastics and wanted something more fun. I didn’t like that the elastics left a dent in my hair, although scrunchies do leave a slight dent but not nearly as bad. The elastics were also uncomfortable to wear after awhile. I like to wear my hair up when I sleep and the elastics just weren’t cutting it. The scrunchies are softer and more comfortable to sleep with on.

Zoella Beauty Reed Diffuser: You all know that I love Zoe and her products. Well, this one is added to the long list. I needed something to brighten up my room, which is in the basement, and something to make it smell fresher. I didn’t want something you plug in the wall or any of those really artificial smelling room fresheners. So, I decided to buy this room diffuser. Not only does it keep my room smelling fresh, but it’s also a cute room decor piece.

Charm King: You know how much I like the match 3 games. This one is just another in a long list of the ones I like. It’s fun and kind of relaxing to play. I also like that there are goals to reach. For instance, you have to collect a certain amount of clouds in one level.

Farm Heroes Super Saga: This game is a lot like Charm King. Again, it’s fun to play and works a lot like all the other match 3 games. The characters are cuter in this game though.

Disney Emoji Blitz: This one is played a little differently than other matching games. You get to use any character emoji, I tend to play with the Simba one because Lion King is my favorite Disney movie, and each of these emoji characters has a power. You also aren’t matching just three characters, you can match more than that. There are also items to collect and missions to complete.

Pokemon Go: Now, everyone and their mom is playing this game. I was a little hesitant to download it at first, but then my brother convinced me it was worth it. I won’t say that I love this game, but I do enjoy collecting the Pokemon. It kind of brings me back to childhood. I will say that it isn’t the same though. I do miss playing the old school game on the Gameboy.

Joshua Evans: This dude is hilarious! That’s all I have to say. Go check him out on Youtube/Snapchat/any social media.

Marcus Butler: Marcus does some of the weirdest and funniest videos on YouTube. My favorite videos he does are when he reads fan fiction about himself. He adds voices and reacts in the middle of reading it. It’s pretty hilarious.

Allana Davison: She is bae! She is queen! I discovered her through watching Estee Lalonde. Allana is just so funny and hilarious. She is so down to earth. She’s the kind of person you could definitely be friends with and be yourself and she won’t judge. She is a goofball and I think that is why I love her. P.S. If you love makeup, you will love her main channel videos. She also has a vlog channel that includes videos of her boyfriend, Chad, who is just as hilarious.

Eleventh Gorgeous: These girls have been my favorites for such a long time. They’re funny and quirky and I just love the sister dynamic. Probably because they are sisters 🙂

Lily Pebbles: Lily is a recent Youtube favorite. She is another beauty Youtuber who also vlogs. Her vlogs are so cool and her main channel videos are always so beautiful and put together. You can tell that she puts a lot of work into them. Not that other Youtubers don’t 🙂 Her personality is great as well.

Pixiwoo: These ladies have been favorites of mine for awhile too. I love their makeup tutorials, their blog, and the makeup brush line they consult on, Real Techniques. If you’re looking for new looks or just don’t know how to do a certain thing when it comes to makeup, check these ladies out. P.S. They too are sisters 🙂

Keen Uneek Bungee Cord Shoes: I first saw these shoes when my uncle showed me his pair. I immediately thought, “These are the coolest shoes I have ever seen!” He let me try his pair on, granted they were kind of big. I walked around in them for a bit and fell in love. He convinced me to get my own pair. So, we shopped around and finally found a pair that I liked. See, they come in different colors and I wanted to find a color that would go with everything. These shoes are soo comfortable and I literally had a smile on my face as soon as I put them on. One more thing, I got mine for a significantly lower price because they were on sale and my uncle had a coupon. If you want these, I suggest looking out for sales.

Lost Girl: What can I say about this show? The only thing to say is that I’m uber obsessed and uber in love with it. I LURVE supernatural shows. Always have. It’s about a woman, Bo, who finds out that she is different and eventually finds out why. There is this secret world, Fae, that humans don’t know about because the fae creatures blend in very well. One night she saves this girl, Kenzie, and this girl follows her home. They become friends and turn into this really awesome, dynamic duo. Kenzie is human and probably the only human, other than Lauren (scientist and doctor), who has been let into this world. If you are a fan of supernatural shows, then you will definitely like this one.

NAILS INC. Paint Can Nail Polish in ‘Porchester Square’ & ‘Shoreditch Lanes’: I absolutely hate this stuff. The application is messy and the color payoff on ‘Porchester Square’ is awful. On the can, it looks like a lilac purple but on the nail it looks like a grey brown. These also don’t last long at all. I mean there is a special base and top coat for it, but even so.

L’oreal Makeup Setting SprayI don’t like this stuff. It doesn’t really set my makeup in place because maybe a few minutes later it smears off. I have used the Urban Decay one and that works a whole lot better than this one.

I hope you enjoyed finding out what my favorites were for the month of July. Let me know what yours were. I would love to know 🙂 Who knows? Maybe they will become my favorites too. Also let me know if you end up trying any of these products out or checking out the TV show or Youtube channels I mentioned. I would love to hear your opinions.
