Minnesota Zoo Trip

08.08.16 | jesslynnwrites | No Comments

It’s been a minute since I’ve been to any zoo. So you can imagine my excitement when my mom asked the family if they wanted to go to the Minnesota Zoo as a part of her work’s family day. Thankfully, it was a gorgeous day. Not too hot and not too cold. In fact, it was an unusually cool Minnesota August day.

When we got there, we started at a part of the zoo called Discovery Bay. This is where all the sea creatures are housed. There are all kinds of sharks, fish, and other sea creatures. I’ve always liked this part of the zoo because I’m a big fan of sea creatures. I just think they are so fascinating and beautiful. While here, I got to experience the coolest thing I’ve probably ever experienced. Petting a shark! Now, if you’re thinking that they are slimy and gross think the opposite. They are actually very soft.

Really cool seahorse
Jellyfish
I thought this was a perfect picture. Caught it just in time 🙂
Eel

Any who, there were many things/animals I was looking forward to seeing. One such animal was the penguin. If you know me well, you know that I’m obsessed with penguins. I think they are the cutest things on this planet. The other animals I wanted to see were the giraffes. Unfortunately, I didn’t get the chance to see them but I did get to see and do a lot.

That being said, instead of telling you about it how ’bout I show you what I experienced. Here are the rest of the pictures I took during my outing at the zoo:

Lemurs
Flamingos
These little guys had the longest beaks.

I think these were warthogs.
River Otters. They’re so cute!
Komodo Dragon

Tapirs

Can you see the baby Snow Monkey?

Python
Tortoises

Sea Otter
Two-Toed Sloth
Red Panda
