I wasn’t loving a lot of things throughout the month of October, but I did like enough to share them with you. So, without further ado here is what I was loving throughout the month of October.
Beauty/Skincare
Smashbox Poreless Primer: Now, I have tried many a primer but this one by far has been the best. I don’t know if it’s because it’s a higher end brand or if it just likes my skin. It has been the only one that keeps my T-zone mattified throughout the day. I have the oiliest T-zone on the planet, probably not but just go with me, so it’s important that I use a primer for this area before applying makeup. I received this tiny, tiny sample in I think my PLAY! by Sephora subscription one month and I have got it to last until now. Which is great because it’s expensive stuff and I’m not sure if I’m ready to drop bogo bucks on it yet.
BH Cosmetics Carli Bybel Palette: This palette is great and is probably my most favorite of all the palettes I own, and I don’t own a lot. It has 10 eyeshadow shades and 4 highlighting shades. Each of these are soo buttery smooth and look great. The eye shadows are the perfect shades for me because I love a good neutral eye look. Now, I have only used the first two highlighting shades (the lightest ones) in the palette, but they are beautiful on. The one thing I would say about them is that don’t go heavy-handed when applying them. You really only need a very little amount to get a nice glimmer.
CoverGirl Fibers Mascara: You all know that I am a huge fan of CoverGirl products. This is no exception. This has to be my new favorite mascara they have developed. I just hope they never get rid of it because I love it soo much 🙂 I have bought it in all the shades. I also really love it because it keeps the curl in my lashes.
Fashion
Healing Stone Amethyst Necklace: I have been looking for the perfect, simple necklace I could wear everyday. So, when I saw this one at Target I had to get it. I love stone jewelry because it just looks soo cool and spices up any outfit. This one is great because the stone is tiny and I can wear it everyday on its own or with other pieces. Plus, it’s my birthstone 🙂
Y.A.S. Purse (similar): In my mind, this purse was a necessity because I have been carrying around such huge purses for so long I was ready to minimize. This purse allows me to do so. I love that it still holds soo much yet is still soo small and compact. I will talk more about this in an upcoming What’s in my Bag? post.
Merona Booties: For years, I have been searching and searching for the perfect pair of autumn/winter booties. I finally found them! They are really comfortable, which is usually an issue when I have any kind of high heel. I also love the color. The box said they were khaki, but in certain lights they will have a green tinge to them. It’s kind of cool 🙂 It’s like I have two pairs of boots in one.
Black dot earrings: These earrings are great for everyday wear. They are just soo simple. I wore them almost everyday throughout October.
H&M Skinny Jeans: I wore these almost everyday after I got them throughout October. Heck, I’m still wearing them now in November. They are really comfortable and the best part is that they don’t have holes in them! It gets really cold where I live during the autumn/winter months, so I need a pair of jeans to get me through them. These are perfect for that. I really love H&M jeans because not only do they last, but they come at a good price.
ASOS Velvet Chokers: I have officially gone choker crazy! This could be that I grew up in the 90s and was happy to see that some stuff from this era was coming back into style. Or it could be that they are cute. Haha! Probably both 🙂 Anywho, I really liked these when I saw them on the ASOS website and decided to purchase them. There really wasn’t any rhyme or reason. But if you are looking for cute, inexpensive choker necklaces, I highly recommend taking a look at ASOS.

Hello October
Food/Drink
Werther’s Originals: I am such a grandma, but I don’t care because I LOVE these candies. They are the perfect amount of sweet for my sweet tooth and they travel well. I just throw a few in my purse or lunch bag and go on my way 🙂
Starbucks Vanilla Latte Keurig K-cups: I love to make coffee at home and to bring it with me to work, so when I saw these on the shelf let’s just say I was pretty stoked. I will say that it’s not as good as going into an actual Starbucks and ordering, but it does the trick.
So, those were my favorites throughout October. I hope you enjoyed reading about them. Let me know if you end up trying any of these things. Also, let me know what you were loving in October.
