First off, I want to thank my friend for giving me this mask for Christmas. It came in useful the other day 🙂
When winter rolls around, my skin decides to become lizardy. Do you know what I mean? My skin just can’t get enough moisture. This is the time I like to bring out all the moisturizing products I own.
Like I said before, the Masque Bar Soothing Sheet Mask came in handy the other day. My skin was feeling very dry and I wanted to boost up its moisture. Now, it did do that for me but there were things I wasn’t too fond of with this mask.
One thing I didn’t like was that it stung a tiny bit. I don’t know if this was because of my dry skin or if it was the mask. The only other sheet masks I’ve used and has stung like this one were the masks from YesTo. Another thing I didn’t like was how wet the mask was. I pulled it out of the packaging and it was drenched. This usually means there is going to be a lot of excess product left on my face. Sure enough, there was. The only other thing I didn’t like about the mask was the stickiness I felt after removing it. I mean it eventually went away, but that feeling isn’t ideal.
Okay, you may be wondering what were the things I did like about the mask. There were plenty. I loved how moisturizing it was. My skin lapped it up. My skin felt soo soft afterwards. I also loved how it removed the redness from my cheek areas. This is where I tend to have the most redness, there and around my nose. As soon as I removed the mask, the redness disappeared. So, I guess what I really liked about this mask is its ability to calm my skin down. Finally, and it’s kind of a silly one, I liked that it almost perfectly fit my face. I have gotten a lot of sheet masks that were too big and hang down under my chin. This one did not.
As for a recommendation, this one wasn’t my favorite. If you want a more inexpensive option for sheet masks, this one is for you. But, I honestly think there are better ones out there in all different price ranges (Garnier or Tony Moly are some of my favorite brands that have sheet masks that I love).
Have you ever tried any Masque Bar products? Are you a big sheet mask fan like myself? Do you have any recommendations? Let me know down in the comments. I love hearing from you!
