Hello Lovelies!
I am bringing you another book review. This time it’s for A Wrinkle in Time.
This was one of my all-time favorite books as a child. I remember seeing it on my 6th grade teacher’s book shelf and was instantly drawn to it. Now, I don’t remember what I thought about it back then but clearly I enjoyed it enough to purchase it as and adult.
I have to say reading this book as an adult was a very different experience from reading it as a child. I have to say that I didn’t enjoy it as much.
Let me back up a bit and give you a tiny synopsis of what this story is about. I’ll try not to give out to many spoilers. It is about a girl who’s father has been missing for years. One day, she discovers where her father has been all those years. She, her brother, and a new friend go on an adventure to a new realm to rescue her father. However, that rescue mission doesn’t come without its obstacles. They meet new people (creatures?) along the way, some who are helpful and some who aren’t so helpful. Eventually, it ends with a happy reunion.
Have I hooked you yet?
After reading it again, I think I’m ready to see the movie and leave the book for my future children to leave.
As you can tell, I very much think this is a children’s book and you need a child’s mind to enjoy it. Don’t get me wrong, though, I have always enjoyed a good fantasy, dystopia, etc. genre book.
If you like books in this genre or are looking for a book for your child to read, this is a good one. Or you could just see the movie like everyone else, lolz.
Have you read this book before? Did you like it? Did you see the movie? What did you think?

Thanks for reading!
