Synopsis

Review
I’m not gonna lie, but it was rough reading this book. Not just because of the SA scene (that was tough to read even knowing that there was scene like that in it). It took about 40% through this book before I was able to really get into the story. Honestly, I was bored for most of this book. I couldn’t put my finger on exactly why this was happening during my reading journey through this story. Now that I’ve sat a bit and removed from the reading session, I think I have put my finger on the culprit. I just don’t think I got along with Rhiannon’s writing style. I know this is an ARC and many more passes happen after this process, but I think it could use some work.
I’m disappointed that I didn’t love this more. When I read the premise, I was all in. I thought it was a cool concept. This is definitely not the fault of the author. Sometimes books are just not for you as a reader and that was the case for me.
