PLAY! by Sephora Unboxing/First Impressions~August

19.09.16 | jesslynnwrites | No Comments

This month’s theme is “The Eye Openers.” Here is what I received in my August PLAY! by Sephora box and what I thought about each product:

Make Up Forever Artist Shadow in I-544: This shadow is beautiful! I have never tried MUFE products before and I think this one is a great introduction to the brand, at least for me 🙂 It’s a gorgeous purple/brown color and works great on its own or with other shades. I personally just wore it on its own as an all-over lid color. It blends pretty well and has a pretty soft/creamy texture for a powder eyeshadow. I think it will be great for the fall months.

Urban Decay Perversion Mascara: I already am a fan of the UD brand, so when I saw this I was super happy. It made my lashes super volumized and really opened up my eyes. It also kept the curl in my lashes, which is always a plus in my book.

Lancome Energie de Vie Smoothing and Glowing Liquid Care Moisturizer: The only issue I have with this product is that the sample is too small. There isn’t enough product for me to get a really good feel for it and see if it does actually make a difference. I will say that it’s really liquidy and that I think it works well if you press it into the skin rather than swipe across like a creamy moisturizer.

Caudalie Resveratol Eye Lifting Balm: Again, not enough product to get a good feel for it. It does feel nice on the skin and isn’t heavily scented, which is great in an eye product; especially for those who have sensitive eyes like myself.

Sephora Collection Contour Eye Pencil 12-hr. Wear Waterproof in Flirting Game: This pencil is gorgeous! I used it to line my eyelid very close to the lash line and it made the eye color I was wearing, I wore the MUFE eye color, really pop. These two products work well together. I was actually surprised that I loved this product soo much because I do not wear eyeliner. I am rubbish at applying it, so I just choose to go without. But this one I will 🙂 Also, when it says waterproof, it means waterproof. I swatched it the other day and I really had to scrub to remove it.

Finally, the perfume sample:

Clean Reserve Blonde Rose: I HATE THIS PERFUME!!! It smells disgusting!

I hope you enjoyed reading my thoughts on these products. Let me know if you receive this box and what your favorites, or unfavorites, were from it 🙂
