I’d have to say that March was a good month for this box π I liked almost every single product that I received. Okay, I’ll stop talking and get started on the fun part.
This month’s theme: The Gleam Team
GLAMGLOW GLOWSTARTER Mega Illuminating Moisturizer: According to the pamphlet, this product is supposed to visibly plump, hydrate, blur, and enhance. I don’t know about the plumping and enhancing parts, but when I applied some to my hand it felt very hydrating and it did blur the lines on my hands. I like that it is a two-in-one product and that it can be worn on it’s own or under makeup. I like when products are multi-taskers because then that is one less step I have to do in my routine. The consistency is nice. It is very creamy and not oily. I don’t like to use a lot of oily products, especially on my T-zone, because I produce enough oil there. I would say that this is great for all skin types, which is always a plus in my book. Right now, my skin is suffering from dryness because I am on a new medication. Every part of me, my skin especially, is screaming for moisture. I think this product is good for that and adds a little oomph to my dull skin. The scent is nice too. It kind of smells fruity. It actually reminded me of a roller skating rink from my childhood. Every time I walked in, it smelled faintly of blueberries. Weird, I know but it’s funny how scents bring up memories. Don’t you think?
Bobbi Brown Long-Wear Cream Shadow Stick in Golden Pink: Don’t you just love a good shadow stick? I know I do! When I saw this in my box, I was a very happy girl. I haven’t tried anything from Bobbi Brown before and was excited that this product was my foray into the brand. The color is gorgeous! It’s perfect for swiping on your eye and blending out. It doesn’t crease and there isn’t any tugging. I think it’s the perfect color to wear on it’s own. I also think it would look great in the middle of an eye look, or in the corners to highlight, to add some shimmer. Like I alluded to before, the consistency is great. It glides on smoothly. I like that it’s waterproof and that it’s a multi-use product. Even though it’s waterproof, it does remove easily.
Benefit Cosmetics Watt’s Up! Cream-to-Powder Highlighter: If you thought I was excited about the cream shadow, you have no idea how ecstatic for this product. I have been dying to try Watt’s Up! for soo long, but I just couldn’t bring myself to purchase it. Well, now I don’t have to and better yet I can try it out for awhile. I’m happy to add this to my beauty and Benefit product collection. This product is the company’s best selling highlighter and, as the name suggests, is a cream-to-powder product. This is an A++ in my book because it means I can wear it throughout the upcoming hot months of the Midwest. It is the perfect shade for any skin tone, especially for us fair skinned ladies π

Josie Maran Surreal Skin Argan Finishing Balm: I wasn’t sure what this product was and does when I saw it. I tested it on my hand and thought ‘what am I supposed to do with this?’ According to the pamphlet, it’s a makeup and skincare hybrid product and is supposed to give a soft-focus luminosity. I guess it can be used as a primer or finishing product, which I have no clue what that means. I wasn’t happy with the amount in the little jar it came in. It felt nice on the skin; it has a whipped, kind of cream moisturizer texture. I don’t know if I will be using this in the future.
Perfume Sample
ChloΓ© Fleur de Parfum: OMG! This scent is AH-MA-ZING! It is my new favorite spring perfume. It’s very feminine, but has a little bit of muskiness. It also smells a bit florally, but not in a overwhelming way. I had been wanting to try this perfume out so I’m glad I have a sample.
Here is the fragrance blend:
- Family: Floral
- Top Notes: Lemon-essence, absolute verbena, freesia
- Middle Notes: Rose (not overwhelming), cherry blossom (probably why I like it soo much)
- Base Notes: While cedar essence (probably why it smells musky to me), bitter almond, amber
I hope you enjoyed reading about the product I received in the March PLAY! by Sephora. Let me know in the comments below if you receive this box and what your favorite product(s) were from it.
