I have to say that this has been the best month so far. It rivals pretty much all the others I’ve gotten for one reason only. I liked every product, for the most part. Let’s see what I got, shall we?
Boscia Charcoal Pore Pudding Intensive Wash-Off Mask: Other than this mask reeking of I don’t know what (kind of smells like chemicals), I enjoyed using it. It was a lot of fun applying because you get to swirl the black and white parts together. Yes, I know I sound like a little kid when I say that but it’s true it was a lot of fun. Of course, I only used it once and didn’t see a lot of results but because the sample is humongous I can get a pretty good idea if it will transform my skin.
IT Cosmetics Superhero Elastic Stretch Volumizing Mascara: I will say that I found it didn’t really volumize my lashes. However it did lengthen them, which is great because I have pretty short lashes. I also found it to be a little bit clumpy, but it didn’t bother me too much. I think it could be due to me using it for the first time and I find that new mascaras need to dry out a bit before they get really good. I did like that my lashes were pretty fluttery with this mascara on. I mean who doesn’t want fluttery lashes?! The things I didn’t like too much were that it didn’t keep the curl and it didn’t condition my lashes, like it claims. When I looked at the packaging, I didn’t find anywhere where it says if it’s a waterproof formula. This could explain why the curl disappeared. Maybe with more use, I will also feel the conditioning aspect of the mascara.
BareMinerals GEN NUDE Matte Liquid Lipcolor in Swag: Ever since getting this, I have not stopped wearing it. It’s my new favorite matte lipcolor. You will be seeing this in my monthly beauty favorites post at the end of this month. This lipcolor is the perfect pinky nude I look for in liquid lipsticks. It is also the perfect matte. Not too drying like others that leave your lips feeling like the Sahara Desert. The only thing I’m not fond of is the scent. It has a minty, sweet smell that is a little too sickening to me.
Briogeo Rosarco Milk Reparative Leave-In Conditioning Spray: You would think I would be disappointed about getting two Briogeo products in a row, but I’m not. I am slowly building a love for this brand’s products that I was actually happy to try another. This one is a good one to me because not only is it a leave-in product, but it’s also a spray. I have pretty fine hair and because of that I don’t like putting products in it that weigh it down. Sprays are perfect for that. Now, I don’t know how reparative it is with one use but I’m happy to keep trying it to find out. Another great thing about this product is its scent. It has this light, minty, and floral scent which is not too intense.
Milk Makeup Cooling Water: I have been dying to try any Milk Makeup products, so when I saw this one I was pretty ecstatic. This one intrigued me because at first I didn’t know what it’s purpose was. When I read what it does and what it’s used for, I was like ‘okay, let’s try this out’. I will say that you don’t get an immediate cooling effect when using it. They suggest you put it in the fridge before using it, which I did not do but will the next time. I also don’t think it’s that great of a product. It does feel sticky on the face, which means you can’t apply your makeup right after like it says.
Atelier Cologne Orange Sanguine Perfume: I will admit that I wasn’t too excited to see this perfume only because of the scent. Orange, in my experience, tends to be a very strong ingredient when put into things like perfume. I was soon proven wrong. As soon as I put it on, I was pleasantly surprised. It had a floral note to it which toned down and mixed well with the orange. It ended up being very feminine and light throughout the day. I also think it would be a great perfume to wear year round. I personally don’t tend to wear certain scents seasonally. I just like to wear whatever I’m feeling that day. Because I’m not that great at describing scents, I will leave you with the notes:
- Fragrance Family: Fresh
- Top Notes: Blood orange, bitter orange
- Middle Notes: Geranium, jasmine
- Base Notes: Sandalwood, amber woods
Let me know in the comments below if you receive this subscription or whether you’ve tried these products before. I would love to hear from you.
Thanks for reading!
